Animate a photo: turn a still image into a video with AI

A moving image holds attention where a still one gets scrolled past — on TikTok, in Reels, in ads. Animating an existing photo skips any actual filming: the starting point is the visual you already have.

How it works

Upload an image, describe the motion you want (a slow push-in, a gentle rotation, rising smoke, a light sweep), and the model produces a clip that starts from your image. That's the Image to video studio. The difference from the Video studio is the starting point: here, the first frame is yours, so the product keeps its exact shape and label.

Duration, formats and sound

6 video models are available (Veo 3.1 Fast, Sora 2, Kling 3.0 Pro, Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Mini), up to 30 seconds, vertical or horizontal. Several of them also generate sound. The output is a watermark-free MP4.

What it costs

Cost depends on the model and duration, and shows on the button before you run it. Video isn't covered by the free monthly credits, which apply to images: to try it, the Discovery Pack is a one-time purchase, no subscription.

What this doesn't do — honestly

The motion stays short. This animates a shot, it doesn't tell a story. For a sequence, you chain several clips together.

The model can distort the object. The wider the requested motion, the more the product risks warping mid-clip. A subtle move — a slow approach, a sliding reflection — gives noticeably more reliable results than a full rotation.

Text doesn't animate well. As with images, a readable label can blur or smear during motion. Check before publishing.
